Funny anecdote about this one. I was hired to sing this song at the wedding of my sister's boyfriend's father, and so of course practiced like crazy. I got the perfect backing track, got the words down, figured out all the weird meter changes (look at the sheet music sometime, you'll get what I mean). On the day of the wedding, I dump everything on my hard drive, drive to the country club, and dump what I have every reason to believe was the backing track onto the DJ's computer. When the time comes, I get up to the front (I'm about to sing to some of the highest ranking layers in San Diego, so I'm a little nervous), and the track starts playing... and Josh Groban's voice comes out of the speakers. I GAVE THE DJ THE WRONG TRACK. So, instead of singing along and making it look like I had planned it all along (probably a better idea in retrospect), I turn around and make the DJ shut the music off. Apologizing profusely, I then proceed to sing the entire song a cappella.
What was I thinking? To this day I have no idea.
Any way, since that moment I've been searching for a way to redeem myself, and I feel like this could be a good moment. Sorry, Mr. Miller. Enjoy this song, with my apologies for my earlier rendition :P
PS: Today's song art actually has something to do with the lyrics! WOOT!
